The existing Ecobee set up uses the PEK because I do think you'll find only 4 or 5 wires likely through the thermostat for the furnace but I can quite effortlessly add far more wires if required to get two stages (thermostat is sort of right previously mentioned the furnace and that is during the unfinished basement).
